World War Z didn't bomb but was taught a lesson from the Monsters

Amazingly World War Z posted good weekend sales and the only reason I say amazingly is because it just seems to have too higher expectations with it the trailers are filled with hundreds of zombies and of course it comes with the expectations that comes with such a huge star that is Brad Pitt. It would also seem that it has avoided the zombie over kill which has to be reaching it's limits as over the past few years there has been a constant stream of zombie based film and TV. Although it reached good figures over the weekend the top spot has gone to the long awaited Monsters Inc. sequel. Although it's said not to be as good as the first one, which most sequels aren't it still looks enjoyable, and to be honest the first one wasn't an instant hit with me and took me a couple of watches to really enjoy it, and is a nice change to the blockbuster action movies which we have seen plenty of just recently, which may also play a part as to why Monsters University in getting the top spot as people might just be looking for a break/change, that being said Man of Steel still manage to take third spot and has surely done enough for it to be deemed a success and to re-energise the Superman franchise.
